Description
This beautiful hand carved piece of jewelry can be worn as both a brooch and a pendant. It bears an 800 silver hallmark and therefore likely dates from the early 20th century. A cameo is carved into a gemstone or like in this case into a shell. Due to the varying tones of the raw material in layers or at different heights, the motif – here a lovely elegant woman – usually stands out more lightly against the deeper background.
The dimensions of this antique handmade master piece are approx. 33 x 26 mm.
